RC Propeller Mount
thingiverse
Designed for either a 3mm or 4mm motor shaft, the RC propeller mount is engineered to fit perfectly. Built from a model of an aluminum propeller mount designed for a 4mm motor shaft, but tailored for 3D printing, this design showcases improved part rigidity and reduced risk of breaking when tightening the propeller. The main mount portion is intentionally split into two parts to facilitate horizontal printing. To ensure optimal results, print with support material, eliminating the need for glue to hold the pieces together. During testing, success was achieved using PLA, but it was noted that the main mount part may break at the point where it splits under the thread if handled roughly. To minimize this risk, consider printing with ABS or a stronger material. The recommended settings include a layer height of 0.1mm and a nozzle size of 0.3mm, paired with an infill percentage of 100%.
