RC Powerboat
thingiverse
Work in progress. I am not happy with my own build. It is too heavy and probably over powered. But fun to build. Try to keep the weight down is my advise, if you build this. 2023-08-29 Added Hull.FCStd and Hull.stl, the base for the 2D files. Fixed some errors with "ML3 2D A v2". (One missing part. Missing drainage.) Errors remaining: 1) Some parts fit together, but 2mm too much. 2) There is a reinforcement around the access holes. This might need reduced height to give more space for batteries. 3) Mounting holes in the lids probably needs to be further apart. My build (2022-2023) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzRuSMX5_nw Build video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0b6z2gnaorU Test run: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a912WNI5pGs Designed for 2mm building material (except some parts in 4mm material). Power HD DSM44 fits in the steering servo holder. Power HD TR-4 fits in the "Deflector" as a wing servo (will need water proofing). Hobbywing Seaking 2848 SL 3900KV will fit, but very tight fit. And is most likely too heavy. I used: Rudder: TFL 502B16 Drive shaft: TFL 515B30 36mm propeller I used a gyro for the wing (just for fun). And a "tank mixer" to mix rudder/throttle to the dual ESC (just for fun). Threaded inserts in many of the printed parts. (2mm washer was used between hull and "deflector")
