Original components intended for the Experimental Airlines AXON model can be conveniently resized and utilized in other models featuring flat-bottom, high-lift wings. The aircraft currently features a base chord of 6" (150mm) and a wing span of 54", with an all-up weight (AUW) ranging from 950 to 1300g depending on motor, battery, and camera choices. For printing, use 20% infill and 2 shells. To achieve square inner edges for the wing tips, apply a slurry of acetone and ABS over one-third of each end. Two versions of the wing joiner are provided with 5 and 15-degree cant, allowing for poly wing creation using a nominal section length of 400mm (16") joined to a center section measuring approximately 700mm. The strut holes are common, making carbon rod linking straightforward. The center spar is positioned 3mm from the base plate, leaving room for a support piece made of the same foam board used for the skin if desired. All parts are designed for use with a 3mm or 5mm foam board skin.
