rc plane pusher twin boom
thingiverse
Inspired from a 1940s u-control design by my grandfather, a flying rc racer plane printable on a 20x20x25cm printer. Complete design (if you find something missing message me). You can modify my design in onshape: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/f22cfce6b4e6c2d8a596012d/w/dcf25a9c72a452b113b3fd57/e/88077e1f3bd70213b338da7a wingspan 1.10m you will need: * x2 1mx12mm carbon tube 0.5 mm wall thickness * x2 1m 6mmx1mm carbon spar strips for the wing spar * x1 1m 5mmx0.5mm carbon spar strip for the tail reinforcements * x1 1m 2mm carbon rod for moving surfaces reinforcement * 3 standard 9g servo for ailerons and elevator * 1 smaller servo for the vertical tail (I used one Hitec HS45 HB) * a 3s 2200mah battery in the front * 1000kv, 28mm diameter motor * 8x6 propeller You will have to run the wires for the tail servos through the wing, the tail boom and the horizontal stabilizer. The tricky bit is assembling the tail as tolerances are tight there. printed in LWPLA, 100%infill (parts are hollow). Probably good also for PLA but it will be heavier. flying weight 720g (2200mAh 3S) or 670g(1500mAh 3S) Potato quality video of maiden flight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXHbcdy7vfk <iframe width="315" height="560" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/yXHbcdy7vfk" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe> more potato quality videos of subsequent flights: https://youtu.be/Z_XfCOJdGDE <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Z_XfCOJdGDE" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe>
