Save your RC plane's motor by installing this revolutionary breakaway motor mount. In the event of a crash, the carefully designed detentes will release instantly, allowing the motor and its attached printed bracket to safely separate from the plane. This feature ensures that even during high-stress aerobatics, the motor remains securely in place, preventing unintended separation. The mount is specifically engineered for motors with 31 mm center-to-center hole spacing. To achieve optimal performance, it's recommended to print the motor side out of a flexible yet robust material such as PETG, ABS, or ASA, which houses the spring. Printing the plane side from a different material will also help minimize the likelihood of the two components sticking together. For best results, print the motor side with the motor interface facing down towards the bed, allowing the spring to flex freely within a single layer.
