This intriguing project, merging STEM Education and Engineering, was modeled by my teacher, Shane Anderson. A fellow student also shared the wing model. The RC Plane is a trainer type designed as part of a Tech Design course. The task given by my mentor involves flying the plane to a specific altitude and completing three laps on a 400m track. From September until January, I diligently worked on designing my RC Plane through various sketches and models, receiving advice from my knowledgeable teacher. Due to time constraints, construction of the wing was completed during the first semester, with the remainder of the plane to be finished in the second semester. Photos and videos of the project will be shared once the RC Plane is fully constructed and flown. The list of purchased parts includes a prop adapter, Turnigy TGY-i6 AFHDS Transmitter and 6CH Receiver, a Turnigy nano-tech 1500mah 3S Lipo Pack, a Turnigy E3 Compact 2S/3S Lipo Charger, a HobbyKing Donkey ST3511-810kv Brushless Power System Combo, an HobbyKing Standard Analog Servo, and a Master Airscrew Electric ONLY - 12x6 Propeller. Balsa wood is also required for the project.
