Rc Plane CG Balancer
thingiverse
I designed a basic CG balancer that works for micros up to 60-inch planes. I wanted it off the bench so tools and supplies could be easily accessible underneath while balancing. I used 6mm arrow shafts lying around but you can find similar ones at Walmart. No supports are necessary, just rotate the main body in your slicer so the holes face down and print it upside down. The legs are less than 45 degrees off level so they print fine on their own. Buttons and adapters also print with ease. I originally planned to use smaller rods but liked arrow shafts better, which is why you see "adapters" in the design. In photos, an extra set of adapters shows up; they're unnecessary. Everything is press-fit without glue; gravity does a great job holding it together.
