RC Motor and Propeller Test Stand
thingiverse
This is a test stand for evaluating electric motors and propellers used on RC airplanes and multirotors. As the motor gains speed, it applies pressure to a scale, yielding thrust readings. A watt meter attached to the back provides current and wattage data. To complete, a RC receiver, ESC, and battery are necessary. The sides were too lengthy to print in most printers so I have the sides as single piece and two-piece versions within the STL files. I designed it as a class project for my 3D printing class. It has some artistic elements applied to make it more visually appealing. Make sure to attach it securely to a table before using. It was not intended to be multi-colored but I had to use what was available in the print lab.
