This is a custom bracket for a 6-pin JST SM connector housing designed to be securely mounted on an RC/Airplane wing. I built it because loose wires hanging from the wing and fiddly JR or Futaba connectors that are easy to mix up were becoming annoying issues. The SM connector offers excellent protection, compact size, effortless installation, and a reliable locking latch - a significant improvement, in my opinion. To complete this connection, you'll need to acquire: - 3 brass M2x4 thread inserts. - 3 M2x6 screws. - JST 6-pin male and female SM connector housings and contacts. If you prefer not to crimp your own terminals, pre-crimped cables are available at a low cost, such as those found on aliexpress. I insert the brass inserts into the support using a soldering iron set between 180-200°C. Make sure to push them in straight. Next, glue the support somewhere in the wing with epoxy. Then, push the female housing into the plug holder and screw that onto the support.
