RC Micro Hovercraft
thingiverse
These are a few custom-built parts to transform a small brushed micro quadcopter like the Blade Inductrix into a hovercraft. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iPRBWFzJSU shows a brief demonstration of the craft in action. To replicate this conversion, you'll need to 3D-print a bottom plate, a top plate, and two motor mounts for the top. Additionally, you will require a flight controller compatible with brushed motors that can run betaflight firmware, such as the BeeBrain flight controller used here. Small modifications are necessary in betaflight to enable support for a separate throttle channel input, allowing for distinct control over forward throttle and hovering throttle. These changes can be found at https://github.com/rafl/betaflight/tree/rafl/hovercraft. The two hover motors at the bottom must be connected as motor 1 and motor 2 in betaflight and controlled via AUX channel 3 from your transmitter. The top motors, connected as motor 3 and 4, can also be controlled through betaflight.
