Heavily inspired by some images from 2008 that I came across on the net, I've been wanting to 3D model and build this for many years. For nearly two years now, I've been working on it in odd moments when I have time. Update2: I've uploaded the cosmetics (tank, seat, etc.), all the new files have a "2" as a prefix. Alongside the original, I've added a 2-part version of the battery compartment for easier printing. Update1: The FC PDB base is now Rev1a - originally had the FC board in STL, Oops good now! First test hops in the dining room, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9EW7ZZrlag The main frames are printed from ABS to be durable but this definitely isn't something that will survive hard landings or crashes very well. I've only provided left-hand side parts so certain items need to be mirrored. The main frame prints flat on a 200 x 200 bed and then carefully needs to be heated and bent. Info on bending is attached in the drawing. Obviously, had to adapt a few things to make it fly but the core layout is intact. Most joints are either solvent or friction welded. Here's a link to friction welding: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cj9TMmUldhc I printed the main frames from ABS with 80% infill. Once the main skeletal frame was built, I adjusted for warping with a hot air gun. The outrigger struts are 3mm OD solid carbon fiber rod and the rear yaw drive shaft is carbon tube 5mm OD / 3mm ID. The equipment I've used can be found in the following links.
