https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=wE5t6pLmP8I Great little RC boat, which can easily be printed with only 500 grams of filament. To make it radio controlled all you need is a SG90 servo motor, 2204 or 2205 brushless motor, brass coupler, 40A esc, rc rudder and a flex shaft. I glued the boat with Loctite super attak Power Flex gel, but first sanded it a little bit on the gluing surface. For better tightness and join I glued it inside with epoxy. After the boat was finished I spray painted it with acrylic colorless paint. I preferred to print the motor mount with ABS (due to motor heat), and made sure to Loctite the bolts on the motor. The shaft is bought from BangGood and it is a spare part from Volantex V792-2 RC racing boat. It comes with a great propeller to be used in this boat! Make sure to install the propeller around 20 mm from the back wall of the boat as shown in photos! I used a normal 2205 brushless quadcopter motor, which doesn't need cooling. Of course, cooling can be made like a Cab Cover intake... pm me if you want it. The boat is controlled by FT009 spare boat rudder and can be found on AliExpress or BangGood for around 90 cents. SG90 is a servo I used. I just glued it with epoxy and waterproofed it in case of water. Esc can be 40A or more. I use 40A esc from AliExpress for around 3 euros. The trims (fins) you can see on the photo make this boat just like a little cart so much agile and great in turnings! The JET version is already in testing! https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=wE5t6pLmP8I Here's a little clip of driving the boat.. Fins are not installed yet! New video will come soon. Hi, this is the remake of a boat my teacher (J.H.) from primary school made for school competitions. (original was made from wood). In 2019 it was first time used for primary school competitions. (it works great) GENERAL! Size of the boat is 36 cm. To print the boat you will need at least 450 grams of red filament and 100 grams of black. For the electric hardware, it's recommended to use 2204/2205 brushless motor, at least 40A airplane esc, one 9g servo motor (SG90/MG90). Other parts: You will also need a boat shaft (spare part: Volantex V792-2 Shaft), rudder (Feiluf FT009 rudder), fins (FT012 - rudder fins), Coupler (2.3mm to 5mm) https://www.banggood.com/Volantex-V792-2-RC-Racing-Boat-Spare-Parts-Rudder-Push-Rod-V792205-p-1039865.html?rmmds=search&cur_warehouse=CN https://www.banggood.com/8PCS-Feilun-FT009-Rc-Boat-Spare-Parts-Tail-Rudder-Kit-Steering-Components-FT009-7-p-1476954.html?rmmds=search&cur_warehouse=CN https://www.banggood.com/FT012-RC-Racing-Boat-Spare-Parts-Steering-Engine-Unit-Fin-p-943629.html?rmmds=myorder INSTRUCTIONS! Printing should be done in two pieces for hull, I printed it with PLA filament with supports. To print the motor mount you will need some ABS filament (so it will be heatproof). To install the shaft make sure to install it similar as the photos show, because this is probably the most ideal angle and it works great with my boat. Install the motor to the mount and attach it to the front hull. Glue the front and rear hull together. I used Loctite power flex gel. After I glued all parts together I did paint it with no color varnish, so it is even more solid and more glossy. Install the servo (SG90 or MG90), I used hot glue to attach it inside the boat. Glue the rudder to the rear end of the boat (Two component epoxy) - please follow the photos (it works great with the setup in my case) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wE5t6pLmP8I&feature=youtu.be
