This landing gear is engineered for RC gliders with a wingspan of 3 to 5 meters, such as my Alpina 5001 model. The fuselage measures approximately 9 centimeters in diameter and can support aircraft weighing up to 5 or 6 kilograms. A 3-millimeter threaded shaft rotates within a 4-millimeter brass tube embedded in the rim of the landing gear. The tire is printed in two separate parts using soft PLA material.
