rc eye xtreme new frame
thingiverse
My extreme remote control aircraft crashed due to a broken arm. Most of its wobbly plastic parts were shattered beyond repair. So I decided to design and build my own frame, while reusing the motors, electronics and lipo batteries. This is the improved lightweight version of the frame, equipped with a keycam. It flies very smoothly and has a lot of power. The original weight was about 55 grams more than usual, but then I took steps to reduce that extra weight. After lightening the components, I successfully cut off around 25 grams from the total weight. As a result, the aircraft now performs even better than before and remains very stable. Its total weight with the keycam installed is now approximately 231 grams. Update: April 29, 2015 - I recently managed to reduce the weight by another 25 grams, making it even more aerodynamic. This aircraft is flying better than ever and feels extremely solid. Don't forget to download the latest files containing "light" in their title. Have a blast building this amazing plane!
