RC Explorer Tricopter Thicker Vibe Tray
thingiverse
The battery tray from RCExplorer was too flexible when made of PLA. It worked fine with G10 or carbon fiber, but with PLA, my GoPro would wobble and bounce excessively during FPV sessions. To resolve this issue, I increased the thickness of the plate to about three times its original size. I also moved the triangular feature to the opposite side of the tray, allowing me to route the wire underneath and keeping the top flat for my battery. To further enhance stability, I inserted a carbon fiber rod through a 3.2mm hole near the front of the tray, using a 3.15mm carbon rod as the anchor point. This modification provided additional rigidity to the design. The parts were printed with a honeycomb pattern at 20% infill and three layers on top and bottom for optimal strength.
