RC Engine Cover for OpenRC Go-Kart Thanks for the many downloads and also thanks for the posted made ones! Version 2 is online now, but it's not compatible with the old version if you've already printed one. I removed all V1 files because of that. If you need them, just send me a private message. This cover is designed for a 540 standard RC motor and is modeled after an IAME Kart Engine. 3D Printed Parts: * Basic Body * Cylinder * Spark Plug * Exhaust * Manifold * Exhaust Holder * Carburator * Filter You'll need the following parts to assemble this engine cover: * 2x M2 5mm screws * 2x M2 20mm screws * 4x M2 threaded rods (27mm or longer rods that you can cut into 27mm pieces) * 4x M2 nuts * 1x M5 nut * Glue for your material (you won't need the screws if you glue all parts) Optional: * A 30mm fan (24mm hole to hole and maximum 10mm high) Before Assembly: Print all the parts listed above, cut the M2 threads into the Basic Body, and optionally cut the threaded rods to 27 mm. Assembly: 1. Glue the Basic Body and the cylinder together. 2. Bolt on the carburetor with the M2 20mm screws (or glue). 3. Screw in the first Manifold Screw in the basic body (M2 5mm). 4. Mount the manifold. 5. Screw in the second manifold screw (M2 5mm). 6. Screw the threaded rods into the Basic Body. 7. Optional: Put your 30mm fan into the cylinder. 8. Insert the Spark Plug into the cylinder head. 9. Screw the spark plug with the M5 nut. 10. Put the wires of the Fan through the hole of the spark plug. 11. Put the cylinder head on the cylinder. 12. Screw the cylinder head on with the nuts. 13. Glue the manifold and the exhaust together. 14. Mount the Kart Engine over your motor. 15. Slip on the exhaust holder. 16. Slip on the air filter. 17. Have fun with this awesome mod! Update 09.05.2020: I made many changes to this engine cover, including making it about 10% larger so that a 30mm fan fits in the cylinder, leading the fan cable through the spark plug, reducing the inside of the housing for better motor fitment, and adding new features such as soaking air through the cylinder head and carburetor. I also added four head screws to hold the air fan and cylinder head. If you're interested, updates will come! Some things I'm thinking about include an ignition coil and an Air Box. Post a made one if you're interested! I'd love to see it!
