RC Crobe micro-glider (wings and motor mount)
thingiverse
This is a partial parts list for the famous Crobe micro glider, located at http://www.icare-rc.com/crobe.htm. The wings file and motor mount file are included. A good approach to RC flight can be combining balsa with 3D parts, as shown in this example. The fuselage is made of balsa, while the wings and motor mount are printed using a 3D printer. A weight of 142 grams is considered a good weight for the glider when ready to fly. Each semi-wing weighs around 22 grams, which is similar to traditional balsa wings. The wing joiner consists of a 3mm rod that has been sanded slightly. The electric setup includes: * A 2S 300mAh battery with a 6A ESC * A motor weighing approximately 10 grams and having a KV rating of around 2000, which fits into a mount hole distance of 16mm * A foldable propeller measuring 5x3 inches For printing the wings, refer to these specifications: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3558276. A timelapse video showing the wing printing process can be found at this link: https://youtu.be/7arO4_dCNZA
