RC Car Prototype with 4 brushless motors - The Beast
thingiverse
Here is the rewritten text: I'm building a radical RC car prototype that mounts a brushless drone motor, specifically the QX2812 980kv model, on each tire for a total of four motors. I've connected these motors to a FrSky D8RII Plus transmitter in PWM mode, with one motor assigned to a single channel and controlled by the pitch stick, allowing me to have reverse and forward motion on the same side. Each motor is paired with a Racerstar RS30A ESC featuring BLHeli firmware, where I've enabled bidirectional behavior, braking on stop, and damped lighting to enhance brake functionality. The servo used boasts an impressive 25kg of force at 6V (5V being utilized) and offers precise control. The electrical setup comprises a PDB for energy sharing between the battery (2200mah 3s Lipo), ESC, 5v BEC, and VTX. I've employed two types of bearings: 693ZZ (3mm*8mm*4mm) for the bracket mounted on the chassis and 694ZZ (4mmx11mmx4mm) for the knuckle and servo arm. The tires used are designed for the 9116 RC car. After assembly, it's been a blast to drive, but precision calibration of all four motors is crucial. Implementing traction control software for each wheel would be a game-changer, but one thing at a time! You can print this design using PETG without any issues; happy racing!
