rc car chassis 1:16
thingiverse
This is a relatively small (165 mm wheelbase) rc car chassis that can be easily 3D printed at home. Most components such as axles, wheels, and tires are 3D printed. Apart from the electronics and motor pinion, only some M3 bolts, nuts, and washers as well as several types of ball bearings are needed to complete the project. The assembly process is shown here: http://www.muellerr.ch/rc-car-chassis-116/ All STL files for the chassis are provided. Several pieces have to be printed multiple times. The number of prints is shown in the file name, e.g., 1x = print once, 2x = print twice, etc. Two gears have a tooth geometry scaled to 98 percent to provide at least some play. One of them is included without scaling (Gear_45_16_M0.8_100pct.stl). Two versions of the steering bar are given, one resulting in more toe-in. The following components are required: - Servo MG90S from Banggood (MG90S Metal Gear RC Micro Servo) - Motor and ESC from Banggood (Racerstar 2845 Motor Brushless Waterproof Sensorless 35A ESC Combo) - 1x Pinion 16, 32dp, 3.175 mm from Aliexpress - 6x M3x40 mm (for gearbox) - 2x M3x25 mm (for front suspension) - 2x M3x12 mm (for rear axles) - 2x M3x10 mm (for steering) - 2x M3x8mm (for motor) - 4x M3x6 mm with washers (for steering blocks) - M3 nuts - 2x ball bearing 18x12x4 - 6x ball bearing 12x8x3.5 - 4x ball bearing 7x3x3 PS: A car body for the chassis can be found here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3717093
