RC Car body Lock caps

This is a custom-made body cap that I created instead of constantly losing my body pins. It works in the same way as Proline body caps, with one variation: an 8mm washer under the cap, and another with a 15mm washer. Both versions are the same size otherwise, designed to fit onto an M3 screw. For larger vehicles, you can use an M4 screw, but be prepared to scale up the caps by about 25%. Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: Prusa Mk2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.25mm Infill: 100% Notes: To print the 8mm version correctly, turn it upside down with the hole facing upwards. This way, no supports are needed. For the 15mm version, printing orientation doesn't matter. Post-Installation INSTALLATION TIPS First: your rc car will require irreversible modifications to certain parts. Trim your body posts. Place the body on your car and mark the point where the body post sticks out from the body. Remove the body and cut down the body posts slightly below the marking, about 0.5-1mm. Ensure the cut surface is flat with a 90-degree angle to the body post. Then, mark the middle of the freshly cut surface and drill a hole (2.5-2.6mm diameter) into it. This is where the M3 screw will go. Now take an M3 grub-screw at least 10-15mm long and drive it into the drilled hole. Leave 5-6mm of tread exposed from the body post. Depending on the body, more may be required. Meanwhile, your printer has produced new caps for you, so now all that's left is to secure your body with these new caps, and your truck will be ready to go. Alternatively, you can use a regular M3 screw and cut down its head, but personally, I wouldn't recommend this method as cutting metal could generate heat, deforming and ruining your body posts.
