RC Car Axle (for New Bright Blazer Car)
thingiverse
Twenty years ago my son's RC car hit a snag when its axle gave out. I tried Liquid Weld to fix it, but that didn't pan out. Then I attempted to craft a new part from the other axle by casting it in play dough - unfortunately, that plan fell flat too. I managed to keep all the old parts intact for nearly two and a half decades, and today I sketched up an almost flawless replica of the broken part using Fusion 360. Next, I printed it out on my Ender-3 3D printer, and to my delight, it fit perfectly with the matching part from the other wheel. But that's not all - the 20-year-old rechargeable battery pack that powered the car still charged up and worked like new. I've included both STL files and the Fusion 360 f3d file so anyone using this program can make further tweaks to suit their needs. This old RC car is probably long past its prime, but I'm uploading these files just in case someone out there still has one and needs a replacement part that's impossible to find elsewhere.
