When I unwrapped my birthday gift, pure joy erupted! A fully functional RC-steam engine that actually worked, thanks to the enclosed RC system. However, my excitement was short-lived as I soon discovered a major issue - the engine didn't play well with the RC system. So, I decided to design and build my own custom RC Box from scratch. The servo mounting is designed specifically for a compact 9g servo motor. I utilized a standard 4x AAA battery box to provide power and paired it with a small receiver that transmits signals to three key servos: the steering servo, valve-steering servo, and forward-reverse servo. I hope my creation proves beneficial to fellow enthusiasts seeking to control their Wilesco steam-powered toy trains. If you decide to print this design, please consider sharing a picture of your finished project. Remember to use caution when operating your RC-Box, as PLA and ABS plastics are not heat-resistant. To avoid damage, be mindful of the burner's placement below the boiler or use a bra plate (like the original Wilesco one) to shield the RC Box from excessive heat.
