RC BOAT AND OUTBOARD MOTOR
thingiverse
Remixed Sergey's hull to be a boat with a outboard motor. I have not fully assembled the "final" boat and there may need to be some modifications needed. The engine appears to be mounted too high and just don't know how it will sit in the water until this spring. The outboard motor: I used 5mm brass rods for the shaft. Bearings are 5mm X 8mm X 2.5mm 5mm brass coupler The ESC is a Readytosky 80A Motor is a Flash Hobby D3542. These all can be found in Amazon. The gears were found on EBAY .5 Modulus 24teeth Umbrella tooth 90deg. I added some plumber's grease to the gears. I used 3mm threaded inserts for the: Servo mount. Where tower attaches to hull. On the mount for the electric motor. The battery case is intended to be installed thru the hole on the backside of hull 2. Again it may need to be relocated depending on how it's balanced. Only one side of the engine shaft was created. Just mirror it in Cura and print it out. The outboard servo arm mounts between the engine shaft and the electric motor bracket. Was planning on mounting the ESC on the floor of the boat and have it stick up thru the floor panel. That is why there is a hole in the aft floor panel. REV 1: Added new FWD and AFT floor panel along with a brace to allow the floor panels to be screwed down.
