I've been using a similar setup as here - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1734496 - but with a key difference: I'm utilizing nylon printed bearings that provide an impressive level of durability. One challenge I faced was sourcing small diameter precision rods with a diameter of 5 mm, which are essential for my design. Additionally, finding matching bearings proved to be quite difficult. In fact, the bearings I acquired didn't fit the rods at all, forcing me to grind them extensively just to get a decent fit. This experience led me to consider an alternative approach: nylon printed bushings that could potentially simplify the entire process and provide better results.
