RC Airplane Snow Skis
thingiverse
I designed skis for the winter months of flying. These are a perfect fit for the Parkzone Sport Cub and will likely work with many other typical wire landing gear planes without needing any modifications. The sport cub's landing gear is suitable for snowy conditions, but it does tend to dip the nose when taking off. To overcome this issue, speed is key, and always keep your plane into the wind. I used rubber bands to keep my ski tips elevated. You can attach them in various ways; I show how I did it in the pictures, and it seems to be working well so far. If you prefer a more professional look, springs could also be an excellent alternative. Here's a video of them in action!
