RC Airplane DC3 / C47 Prop Hub
thingiverse
I designed a new prop hub for a fellow RC enthusiast in my club who owns an Empire Air DC3 foam airplane. I'm not sure who manufactures the original propellers or if they're still being produced, but he was unable to find any replacements after one of them broke. To create these new hubs, I used a 3D printer with PETG material and set the layer height to 0.1mm, along with supports for added stability. Given their small size and high speed, it's essential that they have a solid structure, which is why I recommend using 100% infill. The replacement hubs have performed well in flight tests, and he has flown his DC3 several times without encountering any issues.
