RC Airplane Control Horns
thingiverse
Three different styles of R/C control horns designed specifically for homebrew foamy R/C planes. Optimized for printing in ABS at 100% infill for maximum strength. Flat horns are engineered to be pushed through a slot cut into the foam. Large horns require screws for attachment. Small horns can use either screws or pins on the plate. Print Settings: Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 5 Rafts: None Supports: None Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 100% Notes: I've successfully printed these designs on my Lulzbot TAZ 5 using ABS. The resulting parts offer the best strength-to-weight ratio. PLA can also be used, but it lacks the durability of ABS. How I Designed This: My first design in OpenSCAD was created with a specific purpose in mind: to provide various control horns for scratch-built foamies (like FliteTest style planes). These designs are tailored for different purposes and can be easily modified using OpenSCAD.
