The M2x3mm BHCS & M2x3mm SHCS bolts create their own threads during installation and serve an aesthetic purpose.\r\n\r\nThe M3x12mm SHCS bolts also make their own threads, providing essential structural support to the entire assembly.\r\n\r\nTo prepare the holes, a 1.55mm drill bit was used for the M2 holes, while a 2.4mm drill bit was employed for the M3 holes (using tap drill bit sizes).\r\nA 3mm drill bit was utilized for the M3 through-holes on the inner ring.\r\n\r\nAfter removing supports from both Inner and Outer rings, the flange surface was intentionally left rough to enhance tire grip and prevent slippage.\r\n\r\nUPDATE 2/3/2020\r\nThe beadlocks have been upgraded to v2. A modification was made to relocate the diameter of the six M3 bolts outward to accommodate a steering knuckle on another axle recently acquired.\r\n\r\nFusion 360 files are available for download, allowing users to make their own custom modifications if desired.\r\n\r\nUPDATE 4/5/2020\r\nThe previous v2 files have been deleted and replaced with new v3 files. Initial problems arose with beads becoming loose during side hills and sharp turns.\r\nA complete redesign of the center ring has been implemented, resulting in improved stability.\r\nThe number of BHCS was reduced from 20 to 12 for aesthetic reasons.\r\n\r\nTo achieve optimal results, the center ring was printed in PLA using four walls and 100% infill.\r\nIn contrast, the Outer and Inner rings were printed with PETG, featuring four walls and a 20% infill rate.\r\nFour center rings were printed simultaneously, while each of the Outer rings received the same treatment. However, to ensure better layer adhesion, the inner ring was printed individually.
