Really Large Illumination rebar base fixture / vertical stance [part 1 of 2] Please note that this is an operational prototype, and I am open to constructive suggestions and innovative ideas. I opted to print the fixture in two separate parts. This decision was made to avoid any support material during printing. Initially, I attempted to print it as a single complete part with minimal support, but cleaning up afterwards took some time. By dividing the print into two distinct parts, I achieved a much cleaner result, which I then bonded together using an adhesive. The top section is designed for easy insertion into a 1/2" piece of PVC, facilitating the mounting of pixel modules or other light sources. This fixture is specifically engineered to be mounted atop a 3/8" rebar component. Additionally, it features a rebar mount screw housing at its lower extremity, intended for use with a #10-32 x 3/4" screw. This design ensures the "Really Large Illumination" remains securely fastened to the rebar, preventing accidental activation of the piece.
