This is a flat faced LCD mounting system for RB1's and RB3's, designed to adapt to both Regular and Big versions of both printers. The system also allows the original RB1 LCD to be adapted with new buttons and cables, while enabling the complete transfer of RB2 components into the RB3 frame. The LCD will fit snugly in between the front rails of the printer, requiring the LCD PCB board to be tilted back and up to go behind the Y rod mount. It does fit perfectly. The part files include the LCD mounting panel, the RB3 logo panel, the center expansion panel for the Big version, and bracket braces. These parts are designed to be printed on an RB2 or RB1 10 x 10 bed. One bracket brace is needed for the Regular size and two are used for the Big version, placed on the bottom rail where the connection seams are for the panels. The panels are joined using M3 (8mm long) bolts that are common to the printer kit. Pre-threading the bolts into the small holes will greatly simplify the assembly process. Join the panels before mounting the LCD screen in the case, and be sure to place the buttons in place before attaching the LCD screen. All parts are Cura scaled and oriented for printing. It is highly recommended that you use calibrated filament using the system found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1037301 Print Settings: Printer: Rigidbot 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1 mm Infill: 22% Notes: I use Blue painters tape put down on an aluminum bed washed with Windex. This makes the tape stick really well and produces very flat parts with no warping or tape pulling up. Start with the bed at 60C for PLA and turn it down to 45 at layer height 0.5mm to keep the upper layers from warping the base. Run the first layer at about 15mm/sec to capture the fine outline detail of the logo letters, then run the rest of the print at 40 - 60mm/sec. Post-Printing: Removal from the printer bed: For part removal, let the bed cool all the way down (22C) and use a 3/4" chisel with the bevel side down to gently pry up at the edges. The parts will pop right off the bed once you get about halfway around.
