RB2 Y Axis Anti Squeal
thingiverse
This fix addresses a recurring issue of belt squealing on the Y axis of an RB2.\r\n\r\nDesign limitations prevent effective belt tensioning, making it difficult to achieve proper pulley alignment; as a result, belts ride up and rub against belt guards, producing annoying squeaking noises. One viable solution involves purchasing a flanged bearing and removing the belt guards. This approach is particularly suited for 3D printing.\r\n\r\nThe tapered section, featuring an M3 x 14mm bolt threaded part way in, is inserted into the square opening under the bearing on the front plate of the base. While pinching the bearing post and the front panel with pliers, gently tap it in until the belt rides smoothly on the center of the bearing.\r\n\r\n----------\r\n\r\nSimilar to other printer parts we offer, these precision components require careful handling for optimal performance. To achieve the best results, it is highly recommended that you use calibrated filament following the method outlined here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1037301
