Razorback Hopper Extension for Nerf Rival Nemesis
thingiverse
I got bored and looked into some solutions for expanding the capacity of my Nerf Rival Nemesis, and apart from seeing something on Etsy, I decided to design something myself. This worked out great as I experimented with using a different size nozzle, 0.5 instead of 0.4, which reduced print time by several hours. Introducing, the Razorback Hopper Extension! I promise I didn't try too hard to come up with a cool name as it popped into my head shortly after raising the top section from being flat. This adds an extra 170-175 round capacity for the Nerf Rival Nemesis. The files include a basic lid, which I plan on upgrading with a Universal Exalt Speed Feed from a paintball hopper (it costs around $15), and the door lock delete clip. The hopper is 3 pieces that require a total of 8 M3x20 socket head screws, 4 M3 nuts, and 3 M3x12 screws. Use 4 of the M3x20 to assemble the front and rear half first, then use the 3 M3x12 for securing the lid mouth. Insert the nuts into the slots on the bottom of the front half using the 4 M3x20 to secure the clamp on the rail of the hopper. The nuts may be a bit tricky to get in, but they will hold securely. Install the door lock delete clip before clamping the hopper. Place it in at an angle as shown (the thin part is the top side), and then firmly press from the back of the clip as you push it towards the side until it sits over the rail slide for the door. You won't need any glue as it will hold securely, and you can still remove it if needed or wanted. Additional notes: you'll be adding a little over a full pound of weight (includes hopper front and back, hopper mouth, and lid) before ammo, so make sure you have enough filament to print this in whatever colors you want. For a slightly different look when printing the rear half, print the first 20 layers in black as that section is thicker and helps hide the seam while also providing some reinforcement.
