Razor Scooter Model A replacement Plastic Safety Shield
prusaprinters

The Model A series Razor Scooter which originated around year 2000 has a plastic shield that wraps around the front of the deck. The plastic covers the holes around the folding mechanism that could allow a finger to get pinched or severely damaged. With time these shields dry out and break off.

This will allow you to print a new shield. You can customize the wording on the front scad. The two samples I have upload have words on them. I suspect this cover varies over the years as the model changed. The SCAD file is a hack but you are welcome to have at it to do any customizing.

The pin has a flat side on it so it can print laying down for strength. It holds the wings of the plastic together by clipping into the holes.

Back in the day they where labelled Razor, with citybug.com on printed on the front and levers. The ones I was fixing have a Manufacturing date of the year 2000 on the bottom.

The print has thin slots at the folding point. Don't force it into a sharp 90 that could weaken it. It should not need a sharp 90.

Since it is an outdoor item at least PETG if you are not doing things like ABS.
