Razor RipStik Casterboard Wall Mount Rack
thingiverse
I designed this rack to hold the Razor RipStik Casterboard securely against a wall, keeping it off the floor in my garage and out of sight. The RipStik is a fun scooter for my kids, but I wanted to find a way to keep it organized and make room for other things in the garage. I created this rack so that they could be easily hung up on the wall, taking advantage of the vertical space available. A rib runs down the middle of the holder, fitting perfectly into the groove on the RipStik and keeping it centered on the rack. The RipStik can point either direction, giving my kids flexibility in how they ride their scooter. I did notice that the center of gravity is slightly off from the groove, but the wide design of the holder keeps it balanced securely on the rack. To install this rack, simply screw it into the wall using two screws. The RipStik is heavy enough that you'll need to screw into studs or use anchors designed for your specific type of wall. I printed three copies at 35% infill to make sure they were sturdy and reliable. They hold quite well, so if you print at a lower infill setting like 20%, please let me know in the comments so I can update the print specifications. This is my first design posted on Thingiverse, so I welcome any constructive feedback that can help improve it.
