Razor Blade Holder/Scraper
thingiverse
I added two versions of this design, one with a thicker handle and another with an even thicker handle plus a spot for two 10mm neodymium magnets. I use these magnets to stick it securely to the side of my printer, making it easy to find whenever I need it. This is a great design that someone else created, but I had some issues with it initially. The blade was loose and easily shifted or fell out even when tightened as much as possible. Additionally, the top bracket would pop out, which made me concerned about safety. To fix these problems, I added some guides for the cutouts on the blade to keep it stable and extended the side of the design so the top bracket wouldn't come loose. Now that I've made these changes, this tool works much better and is one of my go-to accessories for maintaining my printer bed. I also want to emphasize that I don't use this tool for removing parts from the bed; instead, I rely on it for scraping glue and filament. If you're looking for a solution for part removal, consider investing in a set of print removal tools – they work much better and are safer. If you don't already have these tools, you can find them on Amazon for between 8-15 dollars – this is an investment worth making for your 3D printer.
