Razor Blade Cover

Razor Blade Cover

thingiverse

I created this design specifically for the Mini Razor Blade Scraper located on Thingiverse under item number 1386672. This scraper should also fit other holders that use single edge razor blades. The printing materials I used were Inland Black PETG and a Flexion Extruder. My printer of choice was the Wanhao i3 Plus, which was equipped with a Boro Glass plate and Elmer's disappearing purple liquid glue for added stability. My slicing software of choice is Simplify3D, and I opted to print at 0.2 mm layer thickness. The extrusion width was set to auto, with a speed of 60 mm/s. For infill, I chose 40% Fast Honeycomb. Additionally, I manually placed supports for the model. The temperature settings I used were as follows: 247 degrees Celsius for the first layer and 240 degrees Celsius for all subsequent layers. Cooling was set to 0% for the first layer and 25% for all subsequent layers. I have since updated this design by adding a Fusion 360 file, which can be found on Thingiverse under item number 1386672.
