Razer Phone 2 Hard Case
thingiverse
I'm excited to share with you the first of many phone case designs that I plan to post over the coming months for the RazerPhone 2. This particular model is 100% 3D printable without supports and can be made in almost any material. It was designed specifically to provide a very slim, tight fit hard case, but it can just as easily be printed in TPU or any other flexible material. I personally used PLA for mine and coated it with black enamel spray paint for the version you see here, while another one I did coated with Plastidip, which worked nicely. After several months of using this case and multiple unintentional drop tests, my phone is still alive, although these tests have helped point out a few design flaws. There will be a revised case design posted later in an update, but for now, I would recommend TPU or Nylon as the best material for your case. PLA started to crack after the third drop and eventually became pliable enough for my phone to fall out of the case due to how hot this phone can get when playing games for extended periods. There is an updated version that has been recently added, which can be used as a hard case but would work best as a soft case made from TPU or cast in silicone. A two-part case is currently in development.
