Razer Deathadder Elite - Mouse feet / skate
thingiverse
I wanted to replace the worn skates/feets of my mouse. I looked for replacement parts online but paying 20USD for three little pieces of teflon sheet seemed crazy for a 60USD mouse. Then it came to my mind what if I print them. Searched for a filament with the least friction coefficient and it was Nylon. Luckily I had some Filamentum Nylon FX256 lying around. I printed them and they work perfectly. So much better than the worn skates. These skates are double the thickness of the originals so theres more room for wear. I removed carefully the worn skates so I could salvage some factory glue which was left after the original skates. On the bottom skate I couldn't salvage the original glue so I used some generic double sided tape to hold the skate in place. After ~50 hours of use the skates still perfect: no wear and the old and new double sided tape holds the skates perfectly.
