<p>A slim, functional, openSCAD raspberry pi 4 case.<br/> I would recommend also printing a fan cover for any attached fans or just for style as there is a hole by default for the fan. This can of course be disabled by commenting out its respective line in the openSCAD file and generating a new .stl. There are some parameters but the underlying parts are so simple in general you shouldn't need parameters as everything is well commented.<br/> A quirk of the scad file is that the origin is at the back right of the board (adjacent to the gigabit ethernet). Hope you like it!</p> <p>With most of the holes you could possibly need:</p> <ul> <li>GPIO pin hole</li> <li>POE pin hole</li> <li>CSI camera hole</li> <li>~40mm top mounted fan hole</li> <li>DSI display hole</li> <li>4 underside and 4 top side screw holes 2.5mm (M3 will work)</li> <li>USB2, 3 holes</li> <li>Gigabit ethernet hole</li> <li>2x micro HDMI holes</li> <li>USB type C power hole</li> <li>3.5 mm audio-video jack hole</li> </ul> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>TLDR:</p> <ul> <li>supports: no</li> <li>z-height: 0.20mm</li> <li>case bottom is printed on its end, with the sd card space pointing up (see openSCAD image for positioning).</li> <li>case bottom has little surface contact with bed, needs to stick down well</li> <li>case top is printed flat on bed with mount cylinders pointing up</li> <li>PETG (recommended)</li> </ul> <p>No supports are needed, assuming your printer is capable of bridging short distances. There will be a little bit of loose material at the mount points of the bottom half of the case, and on the inner overhangs on either side of the sd card holder but I have added tolerances for these and they should not be too obstructive as it is only slight. The case top should be printed with the mount cylinders pointing straight up so you can get the bed surface texture facing outwards, and the case bottom should be on its end (where the usb ports would be) so that you get a nice finish, and so both halves of the case do not have aligned layers. Be cautios of printing the case bottom as it has little surface contact with the bed, and can cause issues unless your z-height is calibrated perfectly, I used PETG too which is also very sticky to my PEI powder coated MK3S bed.</p>
