Raven Software Coaster Raven Software is an American video game developer based in Wisconsin. The company was founded in 1990 and has since become a leading force in the gaming industry. In 1997, Raven made an exclusive publishing deal with Activision, which led to their acquisition by the entertainment giant. However, after the acquisition, many of the studio's original developers left to form Human Head Studios. These talented individuals were largely responsible for creating the Heretic and Hexen: Beyond Heretic games, which are still beloved by gamers today. Use this coaster to enjoy your favorite drink! If you've printed it out, be sure to show off your skills by uploading a picture of your masterpiece. This coaster is a standard size, measuring 100 x 100 x 5 mm. It's perfect for fitting in my coaster holder: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3130397 I printed this model using an Ultimaker with white PLA filament. I set the layer height to 0.2mm and the infill to 18%. My nozzle was set to 0.4mm, and my extruder temperature was a scorching 210 degrees Celsius. I also used a heated bed to ensure a smooth print. To prevent curling at the bottom of the coaster, I used a brim. Feel free to experiment with different settings – it's all about finding what works best for you! Design Steps: I picked a logo from my browser and converted it into SVG format using Inkscape. Next, I opened the file in Blender and transformed it into a 3D object. From there, I repaired the model in Meshmixer and erased any unnecessary details. I then added a coaster to the design and merged it with the picture after scaling it down. To create the drink coaster itself, I used 123D Design's simple modeling techniques. You can also choose to use other programs like Tinkercad or download a template from my website: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3542555. Save your design as an STL file and slice it for printing. However, due to some issues with the model even after repairing it in Meshmixer, I decided to export it into Netfabb Online Service. This app has proven to be a game-changer for me, offering unlimited STL fix procedures – a feature that MakePrintable lacks. With Netfabb, I was able to slice my model without any problems.
