Remixed from a scan of a raven skull to be a wearable mask with an articulated jaw. Source file can be downloaded here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2484293

Files are sliced to fit a 300x300x400mm print bed. The model comes sliced for easier printing, I added in alignment slots and pegs for easier assembly post-printing. The orbital rings can be installed after printing once a mesh material is placed over the eyes.

Model is already scaled to fit an average adult head, feel free to scale it to your own comfort!

Print Settings

Printer:

Fusion 3 F410

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

.2

Infill:

40

Filament:
Atomic ABS
black

Notes:

I recommend printing in a strong filament since the model is thin in some areas.

How I Designed This ===================
I used this model https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2484293 as the basis of the work. I used some modifiers in blender (boolean, remesh, and shrink-wrap) to modify the model to become wearable. After cleaning up the mesh, I added in hinges for jaw articulation and a chin rest for the jaw mechanism to work. You will have to add an elastic or springs to get it to fully function post-printing.

Initial sketch concept of where the hinge and chin rest would be placed

Category: Costume
