Raven Skull Bottle Stop
thingiverse
I'm kicking off my Thingiverse journey with a spooky project that's straight out of a creepy Apothecary's shop, perfect for Halloween enthusiasts like me who adore Steampunk, Victorian Horror, and High Fantasy. I decided to craft a Raven's Skull Bottle Top for my prop bottle of Banshee's Breath, inspired by the dark mystique of these genres. My design is a seamless blend of a Raven Skull model found online at Boneheads and a bottle stop created in Inventor, expertly merged using Meshmixer. The result fits any bottle with a 3/4" (.75") neck opening. Printing it on my Formlabs +1 took precisely 3 hours and 30 minutes, consuming 24 ml of resin. Afterward, I meticulously cleaned and finished the print using acrylics, carefully layering washes over the bones and dry-brushing to add a sense of depth. To complete the look, I purchased an elegant bottle from Hobby Lobby for just $5 and designed captivating labels in Photoshop. I'm thrilled to share this first project with you all, and I hope you enjoy it!
