This is a digital 7 segment LED wall clock featuring 42mm high digits powered by an Atmel ATmega168 microcontroller. The display modules originate from RFT, formerly a manufacturer in the GDR (DDR). The ATmega operates at a 12MHz crystal frequency, and ULN2003 is used as a low-side driver. A two-stage bipolar transistor driver handles the high sides for the common anode digits.
