Rattmmotor 3018 dust collection system

My Rattmmotor 3018 dust collection system I bought a Onedia Dust Deputy and a 5 gallon bucket. I made some adapter pieces for it. My dust collection system has 5 pieces. The main snout The base mount The hose adapter The dust deputy adapter for the 1 ¼” hose The dust deputy adapter for my vacuum cleaner https://youtu.be/EofFZR1eTG4 I remixed the main snout from thing 4777372. I liked the shape of it. I cut out the snout and angled it a bit and pasted it right in to my design. I opened up the intake opening a little bit also. To make room for those long dangling shaved slivers of wood that come flying off the bit. I made the height of the snout adjustable to compensate for different bits and different cut depths of the wood. The snout can slide up and down in the mount about 20mm’s or so. It is mounted in kind of a sliding dovetail mount. If it doesn't slide freely then just sand the sharp corners of the dovetail a little bit. There is a little nub inside the housing to lock in the hose adapter. I used a 3mm embedded brass nut insert and a 3X40mm bolt for the snout height adjustment. If you don’t have a 3mm brass insert then you can just thread the 3X40mm bolt through the hole. It will cut threads in the first 8mm’s of the hole. After 8mm’s the diameter of the hole gets bigger to accommodate the brass nut insert. Be careful not to strip the 8mm's of threads in plastic, they are a little delicate. If you do have a 3mm brass nut insert then thread the 3X40mm bolt into the hole from the top. Let it cut threads. When the bolt is all the way in then keep turning it to strip out the threads in the plastic you just cut. Then add the 3mm brass nut insert and turn the bolt, threading the insert into the housing. It has to go a long way, 30mm’s, all the way to the 8mm mark from the other side. I added a couple of drops of oil to the bolt to help with the threading and embedding. I have stripped out one of these brass nut inserts before so use some oil and go slow. I added a couple of ribs to the two back edges of the base mount. I had one of my prints crack there so I added these two ribs for strength. The mount has some locking tabs on the bottom edge that help it hang on to the spindle carriage. It’s a snap fit, more or less. I bought this hose from McMaster Carr. 5136K11 It is a little heavier than I wanted but it works. It measures 1 ¼” ID and 1 7/16” OD and it is smooth in the inside. It has metal spiral reinforcement in the left hand direction. So my hose adapters have a left hand thread to grip this hose. I only designed the one hose adapter since that is the hose that I bought, but I am open to creating more hose adapters. Just give me the ID of your hose and I will add an adapter for it. Printed in PLA at 25% infill and 0.2 layer no rafts, brims, supports, or fat chicks
