Rattle Snake

A classic wooden toy from days gone by has been given new life through 3D printing. https://youtu.be/Qg6l3KN_7GM http://www.instructables.com/id/Wooden-Toy-Snake/ To get started, print the body at a 45-degree angle around the z-axis to fit it snugly on the print bed. If necessary, scale down the design for a seamless fit. The end disks of the body are half as thick as the other disks, allowing you to glue multiple body elements together with ease. PLA prints well without support, and the body features zero infill - just be prepared for a lengthy printing session. The tail and head are printed with the flat side facing down, and a low infill setting (10-20%) is perfectly acceptable for these parts. If you'd like to get creative and play around with the design, the OpenSCAD files are included for your convenience. If any of the disks happen to break apart during handling, simply sand the surfaces to smooth them out and then bond them back together. The toy will retain a significant amount of flexibility even after repair, ensuring it remains fun to play with.
