I discovered that the original teeth wouldn't engage properly beyond the third fret, often coming loose even at the first and second frets.\r\n\r\nThe remixed version functions flawlessly up to the eighth fret on my guitar.\r\n\r\nTo achieve this improvement, I enlarged the ratcheting teeth and positioned them in an arc, with the hinge mechanism centered.\r\n\r\nI strongly advise adding felt and a strip of tape to prevent scratches on the finish and keep the capo stable on the strings.
