Ratchet tie-down strap clip
thingiverse
I was getting really tired of my ratchet-strap collection unwinding and becoming a tangled mess. Rubber-bands get old and brittle, then break. With some simple CAD and a few prototypes on my QIDI X-Plus 3D printer, I'm pretty happy with the final outcome. I always have a few straps wound up and clipped, placed underneath the backseat of my truck. So far (few weeks later), they have stay clipped and bound. Hopefully fellow DIY'ers and auto/equipment/material haulers can enjoy this simple yet practical design to keep your OCD minds at ease. I've successfully used these clips for both the ratcheting type tie-down straps, and also the straps for the "teeth-grip" straps (case in point, various lengths). Enjoy! Ben
