Ratchet removal tool for Scribe hubs
prusaprinters
Created for someone online (unfortunately don't have their name in my notes) to remove the ratchet retaining ring on Scribe hubs.Other hubs may have the same interface, but this was a new one to me.You can buy the “real thing” from Scribe here. For more details and the process of how to use it, see the YouTube video here. (Video is also the source of the photo)I'm told that this worked when printed in PLA or PETG (I forget exactly but it was a “standard” consumer filament) but I can't guarantee that it'll work for yours.Print instructionsProtip: if you don't understand or follow these directions, it will break when you try to use it.The design is angled to cause layer lines to cross the drive pins - this is intentional and will result in a stronger part. Print with at least 5 shells (for a 0.4mm nozzle) which will result in walls at least 2mm thick. You can print at 100% infill but will waste a bunch of filament in the body, so I don't recommend it.Should be strong enough in any standard filament, PETG or PLA. Engineering grade filament could be used but isn't necessary.
