Create a larger version of a tie-down ratchet for use with luggage, roof racks and more. However, note this is an acrylic model; don't attach anything to your roof using it. To craft, use a 3mm sheet for the acrylic components and cut aluminum tube for the central split spindle using a bandsaw.
