### Please check: [Rat Rig V-Core Small Footprint Titan Aero](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3600079) before considering this one. # High-Performance Titan Aero I probably need to rethink this name... I hope someone will find this useful :) Please comment - any (constructive) feedback is appreciated. Please follow my profile, I will upload more stuff for Rat Rig V-Core. Here's a poorly recorded video of it running on 100mm/s: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GovX9jY8XzE ## Change Log 2019-05-01 * Moved the Horns Duct to a separate thing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3600021 2019-04-24 * After some testing I no longer consider this being a work in progress * Add `X carriage - Titan Holder v1.1.0` which is much thicker around the stepper motor to minimize wobble of that part 2019-04-16 * Add semantic versioning to file names (ones under 1.0.0 are betas - need testing) * Change the main body part to have place for bed probe mounts * Add a beta of BL-touch mount * Change 5015 mount and main body parts to have more space for a screw in the back * Change 5015 mount to be able to adjust the fan duct in the Z axis ## Problems: I like printing with my Titan Aero (clone), but none of the layer fans I could find suited me. Also I don't care about Z space as much as I do for X and Y - having the full 300x300 with a stepper and titan sticking out made it impossible to have all the space. ## Requirements: 1. Allow full movement across X and Y 2. Use as little Z space as possible 3. Achieve something at least remotely efficient as the ever great https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2175956 for layer cooling 4. Allow different layer fan nozzles for people to remix 5. Allow different fan holders for people to remix 6. Allow cable clamping (the original doesn't have a way to secure the cables to the carriage) 7. Make cable clamping customizable as possible for different setups 8. Use no more hardware than what's provided by Rat Rig plus a few standard M3 screws ## Proposed Solution: As in the attached files :) I was able to meet the above requirements. ## My Setup: I'm using a 50W 24V heater on a Titan Aero Clone. A Sunon 5015 blower fan for layer cooling and a 4020 Sunon Fan for cooling Aero. The required stepper motor is a Nema17 "Pancake". ## To Do: 1. Measure stuff and publish the measurements to make it easier to remix and create new parts. 2. I still don't like the cable clamp - it works 100% fine but it's ugly :) 3. If there will be enough interest in the design I'll make a guide on how to screw it together - although I think it's very straightforward.
